I just bought a DSL-2750u and it keeps cutting off the Net connection after an hour or so. The wireless link is working but no Net connection. Then after 15 minutes or so it connects up again only to drop out again after a few minutes. Even logging on to the Net takes a very long time. My older modem UT-300R works without a hitch all day long !
Setting up was an issue. I found that set up using a laptop with Win7 did not work as the computer could not find the modem. When I tried it on two other computers with WinXP there was no problem at all. They found the modem immediately. So installing from disc on a Win7 ( home 32bit) is not possible.
What is the reason for the Net dropping out so often ? I also find it appears to be slower than the UT-300R which is more than 7 years old. Wireless connect speed says 150Mbps.

It really sounds like you are using dated software/drivers you should go by the manufacterer's website and see if there are updates

The drivers are fine. V1.1 which is what the Net is also showing. It's not that it never works. It works for some time only and keeps hiccuping after a couple of hours or so.It does appear to run pretty hot ! Maybe I should put it in front of a fan and see if it works without a break. Due to the on/off timing of the unit , it looks like it could be heat. There is nothing out of the ordinary in its present location and it has plenty of air around it. However a forced draft will cool it down significantly. Maybe it was designed for much cooler ambient temperatures ?
