    How might I go about removing a hard drive from Dell Studio XPS 1645


    Hi there,

    I am wanting to remove the hard drive from my Dell Studio xps 1645 laptop but would not know how to as I have only built desktop computers previously.

    Also, are there any things I should check for when opening my laptop/ things I should definitely not do/ should do if it has not been opened since ive had it for over a year?

    You find the Service Manual for your machine. THIS ONE IS FOR THE 1640:
    Documentation
    It might be close enough for the task, otherwise search for the exact manual for the 1645.

    Go to "hard drive" and follow the steps.
