    Mouse Keeps Disappearing (and Deselecting) When Typing On Any Program


    Hiya there guys!

    My partner's mouse keeps disappearing when she types on her PC, almost the exact same physical and software-based machine as myself where I don't have any problems.

    When she starts typing the mouse disappears and un-clicks the program she was on, this means basically if you were to have a program open then were to click the desktop so no programs are selected, this is what happens, but automatically while typing.

    Also when I say it disappears and deselects I mean on literally anything; Browsers (Firefox, Opera, IE, Chrome), Microsoft Word, Spotify (search box), etc.

    Under (Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options > Visibility > Hide pointer while typing) this check box is obviously unchecked, first thing I went too and I have tried other subtle fixes but nothing seems to do anything, please help!

    Yes, Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options > Visibility > Hide pointer while typing should be unchecked.
    but mouse/keyboard may have some custom program installed where you can change this.

    there is also one option under: Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options > Pointers > Allow themes to change mouse pointer checkBox

    so if you have some theme installed which changes this, then you may uncheck this checkBox or change theme.

    I have done that process you just mentioned codekiddy and it seems good so far - I have done so much extensive googling on this problem and never seen someone mention your fix so fingers crossed!

    The cursor still disappears when typing in a browser's address field or on Word but only while the cursor is hovering over those two areas, it is actually still present while the cursor is hovered over this forums reply box and strangely if I am typing in those two I mentioned, if I hover my cursor over this reply box it doesn't disappear or deselect the program.

    TL;DR - It is working atm

    For anyone who got here looking for help, another fix I tried just before this was to uninstall the mouse driver: Start > Right-Click Computer > Properties > Device Manager > Mice and other pointing devices > Right-Click HID-compliant mouse > Uninstall > Restart PC

hi i have a Emachine E627 laptop with windows 7 home premium and when ever i hold down a key my mouse stops moving. its a touch pad and i was wondering how to stop this from happening i play games and i need to use the keyboard and touch pad at the same time. ive looked threw some hardware...
when i type on my keyboard my mouse freezes for a few seconds... this is very annoying... is there anyway to stop this from happening?
