Canoscan Lide60 on Windows 7

Has anybody solved the problem with this scanner being unable to run on windows 7?

I have downloaded the latest drivers & scangear program from Canon, uninstalled and re-installed the drivers and SG program, I have installed and ran Vuescan and it too gave the same error about being unable to open the Twain Source.



Can anbody help me out with this please or am I up for a new scanner that is Win7 compatible.

I think I may have solved my own problem, I usePhotoStudio 5.5 and it is not compatible with Windows 7, I surmise that this is where the Twain problem arises from.

Problem was not solved by upgrading PhotoStudio 5.5 to v6.0, error codes are still coming up.

All the internet searches point back to the same threads of uninstalling the scanner & drivers, then re-installing the drivers first before reconnecting the scanner and installing PhotoStudio 6, we still get the Twain driver & communication error messages.

Look at the solutions and see if they help.
