    Dear m8r8j,
We are very keen that members fill in as many specs. as possible,so that it helps a lot in trouble-shooting. It also works out well for you in the long run as you need not post the specs. every time. A freeware tool for specs. info'(quite famous) is SPECCY. Dear Linnemeyerhere,
Kindly see my specs. Sorry for edging in sideways, the Laptop came with an "ELPIDA" 4GB RAM stick. Now, ELPIDA, a Jap. Company has gone bust and is not selling RAM sticks of it's own make!

There is another slot for RAM which i am keen to fill with a 4 GB RAM stick. The prices are real low for RAM sticks, but that's not the only reason. Transcend and Kingston are available readily. Kindly help me out!

    regards,
    sreedhav
