The Hyper 212 would keep the i5 cool under load?
Most definitely. It's been the top-rated air cooler for quite some time now. I am running it on two Socket 1155 systems. One is my always on i3-2100 server and the other is the system in my specs, with an i7.

If you have a microcenter nearby, you can get a i5 2500k for $179 + $50 off any Z68 motherboard - in store only.

    So you can get a i5 2500k + Asus P8Z68-v Pro/Gen3 for $179+$149. That is a good deal!

Even if you don't have a microcenter nearby, their normal price for the i5 2500k is $179 online - their deals on processors are always the best around.

BTW, I have my i5 2500K at 4.5 Ghz with a Hyper 212+ and under load it is 63c prime95 and 72c IBT running the AVX instruction extensions, which notch up the temps under IBT over previous generation processors.

That PSU should be very good - it is actually made by Seasonics.
