    Dell monitor help

I bought a SP2009 monitor with a built in webcam, it's 19" and can't find a driver for the webcam anywhere.

I'm running windows 7 32 bit. Does anyone know where I can find it, or other suggestions how to get the webcam to work.

    Thanks in advance.

    Have you tried Dell Support?

Just select your region and your service tag and Dell should offer you all the drivers for your computer.

I didn't ring yet no, just seeing if anybody on here would know.

I don't think there is a service tag on this monitor, not one that I can see anyway.

I have found a driver with the monitor name but only work's in xp and vista, tried to use it in compatibility mode, still nothing

Hi TimeK4, Is this the driver you downloaded ? Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States] this contains the webcam driver this must be installed in compatibility mode with full admin rights

If I may be permitted a stupid question:

Have you attached the USB cable?

It has a built in webcam, which it should be detecting automatically but it's not.

It needs a USB cable connected so that the webcam will work. It won't work with just a VGA or DVI cable connected.

Yes. The webcam may be guilt into the monitor, but it is still a USB webcam. No USB cable between computer and monitor, no webcam.

    Documentation

Number 2 under "camera not detected" here pretty much sums it up,
