    Which Hard Drive to buy, Are there any compatibility issues.


    My system has following Hard drive
    313GB Seagate ST3320613AS ATA Device (SATA)44 °C
    which has become corrupt, I want to change it what specifications should I see when buying a new hard drive? thanks

    Thanks to some natural disasters in Asia, this isn't the best time to be buying a HDD, but then again, you probably aren't in a position to wait. Any SATA hard drive would be fine. Your computer doesn't have SATA 6.0 connectors yet, so you don't necessarily need to buy a drive that's at that speed. However, given the age of your computer, if you plan to upgrade soon, you might as well go with an SATA 6.0 (aka SATA III) drive. This way, you can use it in a new computer at full speed.

    As this is a SATA unit, you should be able to use any comparable drive.

    Just choose one that is within your price range.
