Windows Disk Bug: Unremovable H: Disk

2 nights ago, I was using my EVDO USB Modem and , after finishing with what I needed to do, I safely removed it, waited for the sound to confirm, and physically detached the USB modem from my computer and shut it down. When I just started my computer yesterday, I found an H:/ CD Drive. I immediately went to disk management to remove it, but there was no H:/ drive. Any suggestions on how I can remove it... other than formatting my computer?

That'd most likely be created by that usb modem containing drivers and related software.
Coming back, can you right click at select eject or similar option on that drive? Try with the device plugged in if it doesn't work at first w/o it.
Have you checked your device manager? It should be listed there from where you can disable/remove it.

    Sorry I haven't replied in a while.
Yes, I selected eject (it is followed by a critical warning sign saying " an error occurred while ejecting from " CD Drive H:\ " both with the device plugged in and without it. The CD Drive is still there. And, before you ask, No. H:/ is not a virtual CD Drive. I made sure of that when I checked Alcohol 120% and the program did not notice it.

Do you think there are any Regedit tricks I could use to manually remove the driver?
    Thanks

I know its not a virtual drive. I've had seen that myself.
Is it listed under device manager? Does it survive a reboot too?
Have you tried system restore before the problem started?

Is the drive empty? What are its contents, if no? You sure you don't have any virtual drive program running/autostarting at boot as a service?
Post your startup items and services listed in msconfig. Also post a screen of explorer window showing that drive. Ask if you need steps as how to do so.
Listed in device manager and Disk management? If yes, then in disk management, right click the troublesome drive and select 'Change drive letter and paths', select the displayed letter (H in this care) and select remove.
What we're trying here is to see whether removing the drive letter removes this phantom drive or not.

Here are the screenshots of my services, startup programs and of disk management and the explorer window. I also found something: In Regedit, i checked the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices and I found a binary key that was named H:\. I didn't delete it just yet because I didn't want to make the problem worse. So is it advisable to delete the key?

According to the screens, its G: and not H: .
If it is the H: you want to remove, then it might have been created by Alcohol. I see you've it in startup too. Check the Alcohol's settings to remove it.

If its the modem's driver's G: you want to remove, see if there's any reference to G: at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices.
