Well led fans do draw extra power but it is nominal. But maybe with these led fans the first thing to happen is dimming of the leds and not slowing the fan down much. My case came with 4 fan controlled led color shifting fans. I've replaced all of them for Noctua's except one 240mm which is set to blue. When I use the speed controller you can't hear much of a change but I can see them slow down and the leds stay rock solid and don't dim but just a fraction. These are Thermaltake fans in a Element V case.

I have the same case. It does dim the lights as it lowers the voltage, thats also how it slows them. it's almost un noticable but it does slow them. Its kinda stupid considering it only controls 2 fans.
