Don't write anything, just select done. Yes, the info in those help links is pretty detailed and you really need some study time before needing the program for critical recovery. And it's much easier if you've been able to play with the program with a spare hard disk.

I've two other options for you, but I've got to ask, do you need the files on there, or are you just trying to get the drive working again for backup use? Reading through the posts here, I'm not positive on which way you're wanting to go.

For some reasons that could not put me online therefore I could not posting updates for this matter. Even though I tried many ways that you have been instructed me and the others who have contributed to this discussion and found that my hard disk has an internal problem which I could not fix it.

I went to a shop who do have the capacity to fix it but they charged me more than the cost I bought it. So I took it back without any service on it. Yes, I tried a lot what has been suggested here but now I gave up, it getting worse. Before the light turns on, can be recognized by computer, but now everything is entirely failed. Terribly there a continuously sound which has none before.

The problem is unsolved on my part but with a courage I hope everything that has been shared here will help the others. Thank you everyone for your help. I bough a new one (MyPassport) but a terrible problem to it also, which I will check in the forum if someone has raised it up. If none, I will post it later on.

    Kind regards

Well, I'm truly sorry to hear that.

It's been a while since I've checked this thread so I have to ask if you've yet tried removing the hard drive from the external case?
