    Mouse stopped working for windows 7 x64


    My Basic Optical Mouse v2.1 stopped working after it has worked for a while already, after I restarted my computer it just stopped working. So I updated my drivers and looked through my mouse options and it tells me only about my touchpad settings and that's it. I plug the mouse in and it lights up but it won't move at all. Please help me asap. Im using a HP Pavilion g series with Wind7 x64

    If it's a laptop i think you have to turn off the touchpad before the usb mouse will work.

    I didn't have to do that before. and that didn't work. any other suggestions?

My mouse stopped working yesterday and I haven't been able to get it going again. Some of the online advice I'm getting suggests fixes involving reinstalling USB controllers from the Device Manager.
