    are keyboard & mouse 64 bit?


    hi all,

    i got a question, are keyboard and mouse also 64 bit? i mean i have 64 bit os, so do i need keyboard and mouse that are 64 bit?

    No. There's actually no such thing as a '64 bit keyboard or mouse'.

    Depending on which keyboard and mouse you use, you simply use the x64 drivers and software for them. Most have both x86 (x32) or x64 drivers depending on your OS.

    Basically, you can use any keyboard and mouse and it will work, regardless of Operating System.

    You are to make only one thing sure ... buy those with appropriate ports ... usb or ps2, as per your hardware.

    It's not the hardware that needs to be 64 bit, its the driver for the hardware that needs to be 64 bit. A 64 bit OS requires 64 bit drivers. The built in Windows generic drivers for keyboard and mouse can handle just about any wired keyboard or mouse on the planet. A wireless keyboard or mouse might be a problem if its some obscure make or model.
