    Up key not working, Brightness stuck on low settings (FN+UP)


    I have a dell latitude d620 and one day the up and left keys magically stopped working.. later on I had the brightest idea to see whats the lowest level of brightness possible, now I'm pretty much screwed because I cannot get the brightness back up to normal (which is a pain in the rear end) using the FN+UP combination.

    I've searched the web trying to find a solution and cannot find anything, any solutions?

    Welcome to Seven Forums Nurein615. I think you can adjust it in BIOS with the down right keys (I hope they work!). Here is a (poorly made :)) video that will illustrate how. Basically, F2 at boot, then video settings, then brightness. Don't go too bright as you have no left key to turn it back down! Good luck!

Hey guys. So i have an Asus ROG G751JY laptop. So when i put it to sleep or hibernate, the screen brightness controls (Fn+F5 and F6) dont work. The animation pops up on the screen but it doesnt do anything. Hibernation doesnt resume etheir but thats for another thread. Any ideas here?

The brightness settings under power options are reversed setting the brightness setting to the left brightens the screen and setting the gauge to the right makes the screen dimmer is there a way in the registry or possibly a program that can reverse this behaviour in windows 7?
I'm having problems with adjusting my screen's brightness after I unplug my laptop while it's sleeping. The screen can't be adjusted from the hotkeys or by right clicking power options. Adjusting the brightness is no problem when I wake up the laptop from sleep and I haven't plugged or unplugged...
hi, i have a lenovo ideapad y570 windows ultimate , its been 5 months of use and there is of course there is no prblem with it at all..but then i noticed when i press fn+up/down,normally it will adjust brightness of my laptop and it will display rectangular bars showing how bright my laptop...
