If your working on a wood surface and have rubber shoe's there is no need for a shock band I have never used one and never toasted hardware

But really if you keep everything on wood and keep rubber shoes on and don't have clothes on that cause static you will be fine

Ideally I'd prefer something that makes hardly any noise and I don't mind paying a bit more for something that does everything that the 300 does along with quiet running. Well, cooling and noise kina go hand in hand. The more cooling you want, the higher propensity for noise there is. Picking out a case is a very personal thing, really, it is. Get something that appeals to you. You want it to meet your current and possibly your future needs. If you are going to Overclock, it should have more ventilation, or at least the capability for it. Sound deadening material can be applied to lower the resonant frequency, thus making the case slightly less noisy.Great! That's one more added to my basket!

I have 3 of the Antec 300's at my office, in fact one is sitting on my desk about 1 foot from me. It's not a loud case by any means. Everything is relative to whatever you put inside of the case.
The Antec Sonata IV is very quiet, but far more expensive. Newegg.com - Antec SONATA IV Black 0.8 mm SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 620W Power Supply. I happen to own 2 of the Sonata II's and they have been good cases.

The Antec Solo or Solo II are designed with low noise in mind.
Lined panels to contain noise included.
Good low noise exhaust fan included.
Rubber grommets on drive mounts to contain vibration.

It's well-built and fairly heavy.
The best single thing you can do re low noise is to make sure that the components you use that can make noise (HD, Power Supply, fans) are low noise to begin with---it is difficult and expensive to quiet noisy stuff. So don't buy noisy stuff.
You should confirm it, but I think that Corsair PSU may be one of the Seasonics in which the fan does not even spin until heat reaches a certain level----so that might be one less fan to make noise under ordinary loads.
If you buy the Solo II, mount the PSU upside down so its intake is right up against the vent in the top of the case.
Make a point of getting low noise fans if you buy any after-market fans.

That's a "gaming" case. That is a code word for "no particular attention paid to noise level". The perforated front bezel would leak noise.
I wouldn't want a case with a 200 mm fan personally.
I'd expect it to be large and well-built and cooling-centric rather than quiet-centric.
PC setups that need 5 or 6 fans aren't likely to be quiet. Gamers are largely indifferent to noise in the name of cooling and constant fiddling.
My current favorite quiet case is the Cooler Master HAF 912. It does use a large 200mm fan in the front, but the point is, the larger the fan, the slower it can spin and still move a lot of air. The provided fans are very quiet. The case often sells around me for $45-$50, and well worth the price. I have three of them, including one Advanced model. Even at it's low price point, it still offers many features the competition doesn't, such as being fully toolless, HSF cutouts, and plenty of space for many hard drives or large video cards.
