    Constant CD-ROM Errors

    Hey guys,
After having a quick snoop through the event viewer i've noticed that i'm getting constant errors coming from my DVD drive.
I've tried some searching online and haven't found anything to help.
The DVD drive reads / rips perfectly but refuses to burn anything, even trying to burn a single 3MB MP3 on a blank DVD/CD fails.

Here's what the events looks like.

    Thanks in advance

lol.....It's as old as the rest of the PC, about 18 - 20 months.

Reseat the controller cable. Change the power connector to another rail if possible. If this fails, uninstall/reinstall the driver. Report.

OK, I've disconnected/reconnected the cables for the drive. I've also uninstalled/reinstalled all drivers and updated the firmware for it. Still got the problems.

ExerSIZE your warranty. I had an HP DVD-RW i40, (or something like that) that presented the same affect. HP referred me to Circuit City for a replacement.

Do you dual boot Vista? If yes, is the drive fully operable with no corresponding errors?
