How to identify "other" PCI device that did not load correctly?

guys - I'm rebuilding/resurrecting a laptop - a past-generation gaming asus unit, core 2 duo, nvidia, etc etc. its all loaded up and running, but in device manager are listed a parent "unknown" device with three sub-components underneath, unknown. so I need to fetch device drivers, but don't know what these rascals are. the big things are ok. the detail does give us the PCI info:
    PCI Bus 7, Device 3, functions 2-4.

how do I go about this?
    thx
    z

Do you see a "details" tab in properties when you are in Device Manager?

I saw your thread at geekhack.org regarding the keyboard. Did you get it fixed???

I removed the keyboard... sure hope putting the new one back in is easier. the little anchors on the underside were an unnecessarily tight fit and it bent in removal. if the new one is same I will shave them a little bit.

as to the device - it seems to be the ricoh sd/mem card reader and it has more than one 'device' associated. I have not located windows 7 drivers - I got half of it installed using the old vista x64 drivers from asus. I need to find the correct driver set - It is a common component used in a lot of intel-chipset-based notebooks
