Inserting any USB object, causes Windows to freeze up.

Hey everyone, just curious if this is just me or if its happened to others.

Just a quick note as well, this has happened on multiple installs, and different ISO Sources (latest is an official technet, non-torrented/stolen ISO).

Anyways, when I plug a USB item into any of my USB ports. Sometimes Windows just freezes and requires me to hold the power button to restart, this happens whether I plug in my Microsoft Wireless Arc Mouse USB Dongle, 3 Different USB Flash Drives, two are from the same company, one is not (lol).

Anyways. I didn't post this earlier mainly due to it not bothering me, but when I plug it in, DURING A MOVIE I don't want to have to reload the entire dang thing

So am I alone or is this a known issue with I'm guessing my chipset?

looks strange. uninstall your old chipset drivers and install the latest to see if that helps.

Already have. :) I tend to keep everything up-to-date even if that means my graphics act worse then they did with the RC drivers (damn you intel).

How about the Plug & Play service? Is is started and automatic?

How about uninstalling all USB root hubs in device manager?
