Brand New Battery~ Computer tells me to replace it?

I recently bought a computer, less then 2 months ago, brand new. As of today, it gave me a red x on my battery icon stating my computer might shut down unexpectedly and that i should consider replacing... I had this problem with my old computer, but after 2 years of so making me think that this isn't right... Both my computers were and are Acer, but the model of this one is Aspire 5750. I'm not sure weather my computer is under warranty, i will have to look into that but for now, i would like to try and figure this out before i have to spend a lot of money on a new battery, thanks!

    Hi,

Try too run the battery down and recharge fully. Also check all the connections inside emsuring there all at the same.

Most companies warranty the batteries for a year, unless you pay extra to extend that. It isn't impossible to think a battery wouldn't die in 2 months, but you should contact Acer well before considering purchasing a new battery. Your warranty documentation should tell you what's covered and for how long.

Standard warranty for Acer batteries is 6 months, at least in Europe it is. There's no way it can be out of warranty. But first, before declaring it dead, cycle it at least once. Or if there is an option in bios to do this, calibrate the battery. For Acer just press F2 immediately after powering it until it goes into the bios setup.

    Chris,
Follow the advice from DeaconFrost and contact ACER.
