    I am looking at this drive as a compromise since 500GB SSDs are too pricey as of yet for 3 laptops. All of them are older SATA I laptops.

    The unit had some problems with the early FW versions, especially with Macs.

    But the majority of comments are positive.

    Any SevenForums members have any direct experience with this model care to comment?

    I installed the 750gb version 3 days ago and it seemed great until I got stuck in the Startup Repair Loop that seems a common Windows 7 glitch.
    Trying a new install but this time with a full format.

    Anybody else had problems?

    I used Acronis True Image to transfer my systemHDD (4 partitions to the new 500GB Momentus XT. I did create the target partitions manually with a full format (resized them).

    Thus far no problems since 6/20...
