I haven't had any problems with MSI. I switched the them after I had an ASRock board fail on me. Happened right after the warranty went out as well. The first one was DOA too. So I stopped going for ASRock and then tried MSI. I gave the board to a friend, but he doesn't need it. So I'll probably end up rebuilding my old computer and selling it. I ended up getting an Asus for my new build though. Haven't had any problems with them as well.

I have gotten in touch with RMA department

I will be able to pick up the replacement board on monday what worries me is it could happen again

I have some worries that maybe my PSU toasted my board but then again none of the molex connectors are burned or even touched

I wonder did it burn up due to overclocking cause I didn't overvolt anything really hence my CPU still looks unscaved

I know there is a check list of things to check off before moving forward assuming im fine

think i should have my PSU tested ?

So far i know my video cards work also with the MSI board WD My book always had to be repowered on after reboot or after booting could that been a hint because right now same WDmybook stays connected no issues with this board but not with the MSI

Maybe someone can explain this ?

Well guys my new MB is ready Same make model
Now ,I know i should do a clean install but figuring i could get away with just putting the same MB and just attaching the same hardware any thoughts?

Also I was told my Bord has been faulty for a while maybe that is why i never got voltages passed a certain point and others withthe same board wre hitting Astronomical numbers

Anyhow I am on my way to go pick it up and re install so anyone with any suggestions please let me know

I am ok with doing a clean install if there is no way around it thank you

A reinstall is always best, but if it is the same make and model board, you should have no problems using your previous OS drive as long as it wasn't damaged.

Ok will do the guy at the RMA center said it was a bad part on the MB and OC didn't help it and made it burn out this board was built for OC in mind so i chalk it up to being faulty

Im about to give it a go and let you know what happens

How on earth did all those pins get bent? Did you have the CPU in it's plastic box or just laying around?

i put it back in the Tin but obviously something happened between here and there im not even going to point fingers im just going to get a new one

It is more of frustration because one thing after another which is odd that my chip was bent just makes me wonder where all this downfall is comming from
