Is it possible to restore this harddrive?

I'm trying to restore some of the contents from my sister's laptop hard drive but, when I hook it up to my pc through the sata cable, here is what I get (see screenshot). I'd greatly appreciate any help.

    You will need to:

    • Recover the data from that partition using recovery software and temporarily storing it on a backup drive/partition
    • Format the RAW partition NTFS
    • Replace your saved data to that partition

    One solution here:
How to convert/change RAW file system to NTFS without data loss?

Thank you. Do you know if its normal for this to take a very long time? The drive is close to 600gb. I was three hours into it and it was only up to 1500 files found.

Yes. I'd expect it to take a long time.
The program has to stitch together all the bits and pieces of each file that are strewn all over the hard disk.
