Have you called Gigabyte support yet?
I just notice that my mouse is not a USB type.
[Solved] Power on PS2 port for Gigabyte Motherboard - Gigabyte - Motherboards-Memory
Your motherboard probably does the same thing.
I wonder what doe ErP support do actually?
If it's any help I had a laptop on which the USB optical mouse sensor stayed lit after it was shut down but I have never heard of this issue with a desktop machine. Suggest simplest solution is to unplug the mouse at night! (If it's reasonably accessible.) Not trying to be clever or anything here. :)
In the same locations that also discussed powering the computer from mouse. Many locations exist including BIOS. BIOS changes are made without any other software or OS loaded.
Motherboard BIOS has many options to power the computer from network interface, modem, keyboard, etc. You previously described some settings at default - disabled.
Not only must the option be disabled. Sometimes it must also be disconnected from that power on function.
ErP Support
Determines whether to let the system consume less than 1W power in S5 (shutdown) state. (Default: Disabled)
Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD7 Living Review
You could try setting it to Enabled and see what happens? It's shown as disabled in your screen shot.
Seriously? We've already told/shown you all the ways to address this, none of which fix your issue. We keep re-hashing the same suggestions over and over again in this thread from people coming in having not read the thread and posting suggestions that have already been posted or are not applicable to the issue at hand.
Is there some reason you continue to ignore the easiest solution to this whole issue at hand? Call. Gigabyte. Support.
