Thanks. Just solved the problem. I enable the ErP support... and now the mouse has no more light after shutdown. No more power to the usb drive too. I should have try this earlier.
Mouse got light even before turning on power.

By the way my problem is not solved at all:)
After i turn off the main switch and on again, the mouse still light up.
However when i use a USB mouse, there is no more light when i shut down the pc. It seems like this motherboard i am using "always" supply electricity to the PS/2 port. And there no way to turn it off.

Let's first discuss what you (and everyone else) has. Your computer has a power controller. It is powered from a supply completely separate from another that powers on a computer. The power controller even keeps a CPU from executing until it decides hardware is ready.
That power controller also decides when the supply (PSU) powers everything else.
In that controller are inputs such as from a front panel, pushbutton switch. When it sees a front panel button pressed, then it turns on the PSU. And then later decides if the CPU can execute.
Other possible inputs, acting just like that pushbutton switch, are modem, mouse, keyboard, NIC, etc.
The mouse, keyboard, etc are powered either from the main PSU. Or powered by another supply that never powers off. You select that power source in the BIOS.
The BIOS determines whether a USB device is powered from the main PSU or from the 'always on' supply. Sometimes, Windows will override or change that setting.
USB ports were disconnected from the 'always on' supply. Therefore a USB mouse no long lights when the PSU is off (a setting that may change with each USB port). But keyboard ports are not powered off. That was why my post was so different from others. I made that distinction. Find the setting that disables (powers off) the keyboard.
There is one setting for 'always on' the modem. Another for NIC. One for USB devices (ie mouse). Another for keyboard. All must be found and set accordingly.
Now, either BIOS setting is not correct, or corrupted by Windows. Or a motherboard transistor is still connecting to an 'always on' supply. The first is a software, CMOS, or operator problem. The second is a hardware defect only solved by replacing the motherboard.Last edited by westom; 16 Jul 2012 at 15:16.

I remember having the same issue with standby power and having no BIOS option to change it, so I'm guessing you have the same dilemma I went through. I recommend you find a manual of your motherboard's model for this.
Okay, so there's a 3-pin jumper for standby power on your board with one of these buggers on it:
The jumper has all three pins labeled "1", "2", and "3".
The setting you have it on might be on jumpers 2 and 3, the power being at +5vSB to power the keyboard and mouse even when the system is turned off, usually for people who want to be able to wake their computer when it's almost fully turned off.
If you take the jumper and switch it to jumpers 1 and 2, it will put it at +5v and there will no longer be power fed to USB ports when the system is turned off. I think it may apply to PS/2 ports as well unless there is a different jumper.

@ PwnFrnzy, That's the way my ASUS motherboards do it, with jumpers. There are BIOS settings too but the jumpers have to be set first before the Power on my Mouse of Keyboard will work. There was a link to the manual for the OP's motherboard posted in this thread. I looked though it and saw no mention of those Jumpers though. Assuming it was the correct manual.
EDIT: My ASUS motherboards have two jumpers. One for the PS2 ports and the USB ports on the motherboard backplane. The another jumper for the three USB motherboard expansion headers.

Bro, i don't see the need to call them. I just wanted to know what is wrong as i believe many of you guys here are also using Gigabyte. I am ok with the power supply for the usb cable. As for the mouse i can switch to a usb mouse.
One thing i don't understanding is how come my keyboard is not light up after my comp is shutdown like the mouse? My keyboard is a PS/2 keyboard too.
