Mouse is recognized, but no pointer movement

Today I started my PC, and everything was fine until I tried to move my mouse pointer. I don't know what's wrong because everything else from the mouse works perfectly fine, right/left click, in browser back/next (I'm using a r.a.t. 5 mouse). I tried reinstalling its software, and also tried different mice. Still only clicks are recognized, no movement.
Couldn't find the same problem anywhere, so I'm asking you guys.
    Any help much appreciated.

    Thank you in advance!

    Aulkehtg,
If this is a new mouse it could be broken.
Try to opening the mouse program and see if you can make adjust the mouse movement from there. You may have to look at you mouse manual if you have one to maketthese adjustments. Some times the manual is on a PDF file.

    Thanks for your reply.
No, I've been using it for about 5 months. Today this problem struck, out of the blue. As I said, I also tried another non-usb mouse. Again, only clicks recognized, no movement.

just a guess here , but I strongly think that it could be a setting in the control panel or another software issue. Ohh, and does the mouse requires software to run, if so check those settings. also there might be a service corresponding with the software, if any

Not only did I check the setting, I also tried other mice. Most basic plug&play. What's killing me is that the only thing that doesn't work is the movements.
Right now I reinstalled Windows, and it doesn't seem to work either.
