HP printer re-install is no-go--err: print spooler keeps shutting down

Apologies if not the right forum.

Am running ZT on Win 7 home premium 64 bit and have used HP LaserJet P1102w (wireless) successfully for over a year, until this past May. After a series of MS upgrades I could no longer print to the HP laser. Error Message is always "Print Spooler isn't running."

Uninstalled printer, deleted drivers, dl'd HP installation software, and restarted the print spooler in Admin Tools / services. HP software successfully locates the wireless printer, and window pops up for test page. I click and get the "print spooler not running." Nothing happens.

I restart the spooler, refresh the printer devices page, and nothing. I can then go back into the spooler and see "started." Just to make sure, click on restart, same status shows, close window and try to print; get the same spooler error message.

A second issue might be an old PDF I wanted to print, and now cannot delete from the default printer no matter what I try to do. How can I find and clear the printer job?

Anyone have an idea what is the problem(s) ?

    Appreciate

Hello Codeguy, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if using the tutorial below to clear and reset the print spooler may be able to help. :)
