Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I had what sounds like a similar or the same problem, and fixed it by simply pushing on the paper just a little more. Seriously, I'd thought I'd pushed it all the way in but there was somewhere in the region of 2mm left which, apparently in the world of HP printers, makes all the goddamn difference.

It doesn't help that the printer reports 'paper jam' and 'no paper' in exactly the same way.

Need make and model of printer...exact model number. Have you lifted the carriage to physically look inside to make sure there is no paper jam. Depending on the make and model, it's sometimes a preference setting that get's changed. Change the paper type from auto to plain.

Personal Note: I've been a long time HP fan/supporter but in the recent times I seeing more and more complaints from HP user's globally. I'm starting to wonder what happened to HP's Q&A...

I use Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. My problem is: Whenever I try to print something (word, pdf, or any other file); printer spooler stops working and when I check the “Devices and Printers” all the printer drivers seem to be disappeared. I checked the “Print Spooler” in the “Services” tool;...
Kodak Photo Printer not recognized as printer
I can't get my new laptop to recognize my old Kodak 500 Photo Printer as a printer. It shows up as a "device" instead, and so I can't print to it. Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix?

Installing printer software withour printer
I produce documents for use in another office where they have an OKI6200dn printer but I can't load the software/drivers for that printer onto my Win 7 64x as I can't get passed the 'search' for the printer (which clearly is not here). I have down loaded the latest drivers for this OS.
