    Hardware and Peripheral/Device Question

Can an outdated Peripheral be the cause for problems or incompatibility? I know that a USB 3.0 port would not be used to its full potential if a USB 1.1 flash drive would be plugged in. I am asking this in relation to my Video Card and Monitor, I am currently using a Dell LCD Monitor from about 5-8 years ago... I would like to know if the monitor could be the reason for FPS drops or such. Thats all and Thank You!

I think I can safely say that it is is no way your monitor that is the problem. The problem is that Geforce 210 video card you have. That card even when it was new was the lowest of the low end, and not much faster than what was available from Intel for integrated graphics. It was also never really made for gaming, more of a low cost HTPC option than anything.

You want to stop FPS drops and slowdowns, you're going to have to get a better video card.

Ah you noticed my GeForce 210 XD, it is currently the oldest component in my build and I plan to replace it in the near future. Thanks for the reply and information beyond what I asked =)
