Mouse and Keyboard do not work at start up, takes 1-2 mins

    Hey everyone!

So I recently migrated my OS to my new SSD (along with some programs as well)

Now there is a weird problem when I boot up the mouse and keyboard are not recognized immediately, then I hear the new USB device sound twice, one for the mouse and one for the keyboard then they work after that, but it takes around 1-2 minutes for them to start, it's as if the USB ports are slower to start... any idea why this might be happening??

I tried to uninstall the drivers/reinstall, didn't work.

    thanks!

The only thing I can think of is you have them set at delay startup in Services. Go to Start and typer in service. When in service find you mouse and keyboard and right click on it and go to properties. You should see your choice of selections.

I'm in services, but I don't see the mouse and keyboard anywhere...

It all depends on type of mouse and keyboard. Mine are USB Bluetooth. Their for listed as Bluetooth.

Yeah, nothing in my services menu is really related to my mouse and/or keyboard.

    Any other suggestions?

UPDATE - Well I just figured out it was my printer of all things, when I unplugged the printer (USB) and restarted my PC, both the mouse and keyboard started immediately on log in.

UPDATE 2 - reinstalled printer drivers, everything works!

Thank you for informing us of the cure. The only thing I can think of is your usb printer loaded before the mouse and keyboard. Printer was having problems so mouse and keyboard had to wait. Sorry I wasn't more help.
