From your SSD info page " A total extreme speed storage solution for consumers with data access of more than 500MB/second and a SATA III 6Gb/s high-speed interface, the brand new Xtreem S3 high-speed SSD......."

Says it all right there. The manufacturer is very specific about using a 6Gb/sec port......we just can't "assume" the thing will work to any degree of efficiency on anything less...

Manufacturer is only specific about one thing. This disk has SATAIII interface. And according to this SATAIII is backwards compatible to SATAII

Sorry, I didn't understand what kind of tests you mean? These?

I've checked drive info with Crystal Disk Info
    Run AS SDD benchmark
    Run ATTO benchmark
You have it connected properly, tried different drivers, and have the latest SSD firmware. I'd take a look at your motherboard BIOS. Is it the latest? If not you may want to update it. There is an older BIOS update for your motherboard which speaks of improving compatibility for SATA optical drives, though not SSDs, and the last BIOS update is dated November 2010 so compatibility with newer hardware is getting long in the tooth. Still sometimes improvements are not included in the update notes and the latest BIOS update may include code that'll make a difference.

If you've never updated a BIOS before read the manual and any advice you find here at sevenforums and be certain you know what you're doing. Make a mistake and your motherboard is a paperweight.

If you have the latest BIOS then it may be that the synergy of your system (Nvidia 8200 chipset, BIOS code, SSD) is causing the gremlin and may not be resolvable.

This is exactly what I'm afraid of since I have all the BIOS, firmwares, drivers updated to the latest versions. I also have tried different drivers as MS AHCI and Nvidia storage driver. Well it seems I'll have to think something else...

ATTO, ASSSD and CrystalDiskInfo are only benchmarks, not tests.

Please follow this so no one has to search the thread to find your spec.

To help all of us would you please add your systems specs? Here's how: System Info - See Your System Specs
Under System Manufacturer/Model Number add whether it is a desktop or laptop and whether self built.

Log in to Seven Forums and you will be able to transfer the info directly to your specs page in your profile directly from the System Info app.

Have you checked for a BIOS upgrade?

Yes I have the latest BIOS version.

For the system specs, I manually updated for the important parts, I will upload the program output once I get home.

    Thanks...

    specs updated...
