Windows 7: CD/DVD drives stopped working! Help please!

Element - another user had the DVD disappear on him when he reverted to default settings, and it changed the SATA mode from AHCI to IDE - he just figured this out, b/c he went tooling around in the BIOS and saw that it had been changed - so he changed it back - and the DVD is showing up in Windows again.

See DVD Drive not recognized

Perhaps the same happened with you?

Holy S**T I figured it out myself!!!!!!!! The jumpers on the dvd drive and the hard drive where not in the right places lmao. I would have bought a new dvd drive on monday!

Im so happy now!!!!!!

USB drives stopped working on build 7000
I have installed build 7000 and it has been working pretty good for the last week. Now my usb drives and sticks stopped working. OS will see the drives, but cannot access them. It shows drive as raw data, when I plug it in on XP or Vista the drive works fine. What could cause this??
