CD/DVD drives stopped working! Help please!

    Element - another user had the DVD disappear on him when he reverted to default settings, and it changed the SATA mode from AHCI to IDE - he just figured this out, b/c he went tooling around in the BIOS and saw that it had been changed - so he changed it back - and the DVD is showing up in Windows again.

    See DVD Drive not recognized

    Perhaps the same happened with you?

    Holy S**T I figured it out myself!!!!!!!! The jumpers on the dvd drive and the hard drive where not in the right places lmao. I would have bought a new dvd drive on monday!

    Im so happy now!!!!!!
