    Is My Hard Drive completely shot or can I do anything to fix it?


    Is My Hard Drive completely shot or can I do anything to fix it? It is Intel Intel Rapid storage technology that is reporting the problem, but when I click restore disk to normal I get green tick to say it's ok but that only lasts 5 mins and I get the crash error again, This has just started happening so sorry I don't have anymore information I tried restoring a back up but problem still exists I have a couple more to try, if anyone thinks that will help. Thank you in advance.

    Done that still getting error I take it I need new Hard Drive Kbrady1979? And if I do will my Windows 7 pro serial number activate on new Hard drive? Or can I just do away with Intel Rapid storage technology? It's driver genius that's telling me to install it.

Recently a family member of mine got a new hard drive due to the old one quitting on her. After putting it in the computer and booting up, there was nothing on it. She is unable to install the Windows 7 64 bit. The hard drive came with no CD for the drivers either. Any ideas?

Hello. I was wondering... If I move my video, music, my documents folders etc. from my boot drive (ie C drive) to say a storage drive (D Drive), is the data completely removed from the boot drive or is it still there waiting to be erased next time a new file is written to it?
So my uncle let me take apart his really old desktop, and I removed his 2.5" 160GB Hard Drive. I'm going to buy an enclosure for it soon. However, it still has Windows XP installed on it, as well as loads of other things I really don't want on my computer. How can I completely remove everything...
