Battery plugged in, not charging. Not the normal problem.

    Hi,

I've got a problem, my battery wont charge.
I used to get this, but re installing ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery would normally solve this problem. Now after i remove ac, the laptop shuts down. I also got a screen once that saying my battery can now store less. When I click on the battery icon, it says plugged in and not charging.

    Please help,

What's the brand of your laptop? Some laptop manufacturers have special diagnostic software to test the battery of the laptop to see if it can be salvaged or replaced.

    Hi,

It is an HP DV6, It's the battery that came with the laptop, about maybe 2 years old now?
What do you mean by condition the battery? I'll look up the site now.

    Thanks
