Hey there, hey Corpse,

now I got your point. No it is no manual "switch", it seems to work by itself and it integrates an "Hub" as well! :) So no problems with USB I suspect. :) Even now I have none although I use a simple, really small USB-hub from Belkin and it just works single-USB-port on my desktop PC! :) My opinion is that PS2 is pretty outdated, as is the problematic of USB, I at least won't accept this issue.
All my hardware (except for Laptop) is pretty new, so it has to work.
Sounds like you got one that will fit your needs which is really the point. Like I said the biggest thing to look out for is the switch you want something without a dial type switch on it something like buttons or whatever.

The USB thing really depends on what your using the switch for but I think it is worth mentioning. I do a lot of repairs and get a large variety of very different machines in here so using a high compatibility KVM is a must.

Also like mentioned above using the adapters does not always work I just wanted to point that out. Although in theory it sounds like that option might solve the issue it does not always work that way. Why? well I don't really know. But I have tried to do that and some times it will work but not always. Hardware can be awfully fussy some times.
