Sounds like you got one that will fit your needs which is really the point. Like I said the biggest thing to look out for is the switch you want something without a dial type switch on it something like buttons or whatever.
The USB thing really depends on what your using the switch for but I think it is worth mentioning. I do a lot of repairs and get a large variety of very different machines in here so using a high compatibility KVM is a must.
Also like mentioned above using the adapters does not always work I just wanted to point that out. Although in theory it sounds like that option might solve the issue it does not always work that way. Why? well I don't really know. But I have tried to do that and some times it will work but not always. Hardware can be awfully fussy some times.
