Print spool don't work, so do my printer.

    Hi all,

First of all, sorry for my english, i'm not very good at writting it.

I'll make it short as possible. I have a canon mp280 printer, installed and worked well for couple of months without any problems. We had a lightning cut off and suddenly my printer didin't want to work anymore. (it is related, I don't know)

I find out that my print spool don't work now in my computer. I have read all your other thread in this forum about it. I've done a lot and try a lot either and it still don't work.

This thread was the only one really close to my problem.

I have checked the folder Windows/System32/spool/PRINTERS/ and it's empty. I have checked the Dependencies but I can't find the http in my service. Others are working. My printer pool it not working and when I tried to start it, it says

    His service status is stopped.

To be honest, i spend 2:00 working on it without any success, and I'm tired

    In elevated command prompt

    Code:

    sfc /scannow
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Disconnect the printer and see if the print spooler works normally and stays enabled. If so, remove the printer drivers completely, then reinstall them (and then plug in the printer).

    Thanks for your replies,

About the scan, it's working. I tried it before posting here. Forget to say so. I can scan something and add it to my computer without any problem.

    At Kaktussoft

Http and RPC (endpoint mapper) - (dcom server process launcher) are dependence

    I can't find http ?

About both RPC status are started

    I'll check the scan now.

I just did it and for some reason it say i need to be an administrator user to do so... It's my main computer at home and my account is an administrator. So I don't know...

I just realize that my sm bus controller driver isn't working anymore. Seem to me it can't manage my computer well like it used to be, can it be a reason ?

    At DeaconFrost

I just disconnect the printer and restart my computer. Sill stopped. I can't start it either, same problem. I'll try now to uninstall all the driver.

http=system32\drivers\HTTP.sys not a service but a driver!! that shouldn't be the problem.
    do the sfc/scannow from
    1. Open the Start Menu.

    2. Click on All Programs and Accessories, then right click on Command Prompt and click on Run as administrator. (see screenshot below)
