    Plan to put in SSD

I have a toshiba Satellite L505 with GB of RAM.

    I have windows 7 and a 64 bit system.

I wish to up grade the memory to 8GB and put in a SSD .

Any thoughts as to which SSD's icould use .

I was thinking SanDisk 2.5"SATA III with 240GB capacity ???

    Good or bad .

I'd grab the Samsung 830 256GB model while it's on sale.......can't go wrong there.

If not the Samsung, go with a Crucial M4. Very good balance of price and performance. Either drive will be a great upgrade.

I have to agree with DeaconFrost. I have both Samsung 830s and Crucial M4s, either of them would be a good choice.

Keep an eye on newegg for ssd deals. I dropped a 120 into a latitude designed for xp and brought it back to life with 7. Updates are a breeze, you'll love it.
