hard drive corruption issues
hey folks im new to this forum so go easy on me!
i built my first pc about 5 months ago because my laptop of 4 years goosed on me while ordering dominos pizza (dammit!!) - iv done a good job everything works swimmingly except i salvaged the hard drive from the laptop and hooked it up to my new pc. (just so i could store media so as not to clog up my new hard drive) i formatted the old hard drive because it had a version of windows xp on it. but i think it's facked haha. everytime i format it i can use it till i shut down then when i restart i get hassled by chkdsk whether i let it run or not i get a corrupt hard drive when i restart. Now it wont format, i tried deleting it and re volume-ing it via disk management but that only works till shut down...
any ideas? iv got it hooked up via 6gb cable/port on the mobo, altho its only a 3gb hdd could that be an issue?
