USB Keyboard doesn't respond sometimes on startup.

Hello there, sometimes when i startup windows 7 and when i'm at desktop sometimes keyboard just wont respond at anything i type , i have to restart or unplug and replug it back to make it work temporary. Num Lock Light is On which propably means the problem isn't at USB Port, got keyboard connected at his port and near at it my mouse , mouse works - keyboard fails sometimes at windows 7 startup.

USB Ports 2.0
all Drivers are updated.
Problem happens on this one like 2-3 years of use,(Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000)

That is you best diagnostic test: try another keyboard on your computer. Let us know what you find.

Also: Try your keyboard on another computer.

No, it's best to test it on another desktop computer. Either at a friend's home or a family member, neighbor. I wouldn't test it on a laptop. Too complicated to start with.

Just keep testing the "new" keyboard on your desktop computer. If it works without problem after a week or two then you can assume the problem is in the "old" keyboard.

If you can find a willing desktop user, then have them use your "old" keyboard for a while to see if the same thing happens there (there is no danger of harm to their computer). If it does then you can assume that the "old" keyboard is the problem.

Test Finished, New Keyboard (Wired Keyboard 600) Works Fine.

TVeblen, just a theory if the "old" keyboard dont have any problem with the other PC what does that mean?
remember that tested the "New" keyboard and works fine on my PC.
at the same USB port ofc.

Old : Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000
New: Wired Keyboard 600

What I suspect is that the old keyboard will have the same problem on the other computer and this will prove that the keyboard, the cord, or the USB plug is defective.

Because if the old keyboard works fine on another computer and the new keyboard works fine on your computer then we will have to consider the possibility of Gremlins .
