    Windows 7 & RAM

Guys I've just upgraded from 2Gb to 4Gb RAM. Oh what a feeling. "Freeeedom". So for a Win7 setup, normal use browsing, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, MS office etc will I see anymore improvement in the areas mentioned or is over & above 4GB reserved for 'gamers'?

The adobe programs will utilize the extra ram. Just don't use cs6.

Any kind of picture/video editing will use quite a bit of RAM......more so than games

The spec's I found on your motherboard are 4 gigs max. You will see some improvement. Use your ram wisely. Not to much multi tasking. If you start using those programs, many open tabs with a browser, music ect. at one time you will run out of ram quickly. Take a read through this. You might find something you like that could help.

Oops. Sorry Bear. Forgot to tell you I just changed my Motherboard to a Gigabyte GA-41M-COMBO
    GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 775 - GA-G41M-Combo (rev. 2.0)

So now I finally have 4Gb RAM. And from the above replies programs like Photoshop etc will "let me know" if more RAM is needed. So I think we can close this thread as solved.
