    Personally I use either Corsair or G-Skill. G-Skill has surprised me numerous times for being cheap and stable/reliable.

    Unfortunately DDR2 ram hasn't price dropped like DDR3. I would use the great Crucial ram tool and then purchase one more stick of 1 or 2 gb and be done. Spending the extra for two more sticks in my opinion is spending good money for marginal return.

According to this thread a Dell Inspiron 1501 can support upto 4GB of RAM (possibly 8GB) On Dell's official website it says the maximum it can support is 2GB but I believe it can support more, they may not have tested for more. I currently have W7 64 bit installed on my Dell Inspiron 1501...

Buying new SSD

I have a Toshiba L505 64bit with windows 7 and 8gb of Ram . I was thinking of getting an SSD , maybe a samsung 830 .(256gb) I have approximately 84% free space . I do not store videos or photos , just run my web site and make daily changes . Any thoughts would be appreciated !!
