Best way to reset used SSD to "new speed"?

    Greetings.
What is the best way to put a SSD back to speed as it was when it was new in Windows 7?
It it enough to just delete all partitions and then make new one? Or must some other program take over?

Some would tell you to do a "secure erase", but I'm not sure if that is necessarily advantageous, particularly if you have a recent generation SSD with good optimization tools.

Just use the clean all option in diskpart when you are installing the OS. We have a tutorial for that, and it will ensure the drive is aligned properly, as well (by following the tutorial).

If anything, use 'Clean' - 'Clean All' is no good. It writes the whole SSD full of zeros. But best is a secure erase: How to securely erase an SSD drive | How To - CNET
