I'm looking to get a USB microphone for my Win 7 64 bit system.
The couple I have found, the reviews indicate they are very poor, to not even working on Windows 7 64bit. The most common found is the Logitech one, and it has great reveiws...except when on Win 7 64bit.
Not wanting to get too expensive, but not necessarily cheap.
Anyone have any recommendations?
If you want to get quality, don't get USB, get 3.5mm so it takes advantage of your integrated audio, if you want to record with quality, I wouldn't go USB.
However if you want it for skype calls and things of the like, I have a cheap USB headset from a brand called gigaware, it's certified for skype, and it only costs around 15 dollars, I've had two pairs, they are very comfortable, and the speaker quality is good, and the microphone is fantastic for it's price really.
Maybe I shouldget a 3.5mm. The reason I was considering USB is because I have a 3.5mm...actually a Logitech headset, I believe intended for Web Chat.
It records with volume VERY low, and I was thinking maybe my 3.mm jacks were problematic. The 3.5mm on the front of my PC does have a problem, as it will cause a lockup when I use it. When I use the one from my volume control on my PC speakers, I get the results lmentioned above...very low volume.

What I find is that I must either speak very loud when recording (I'm recording screen videos), or I must turn the volume up quite high to hear the recording.
