Keyboard beeping noise despite muted speakers, with video link

    Hello everyone,

I wanted to post a problem that I have with my laptop keyboard. The problem is that it beeps loudly and constantly on every keystroke that I make. The laptop device manager says the driver is up to date, and that there are no problems with the keyboard as well. Here is a link to my Youtube video that I made describing the problem in better detail:

Beeping keyboard problem on Dell - YouTube

Background info: computer didn't want to come out of sleep mode, had to restart manually and on "normal mode". Fan started running high, and the beeping noise started. Despite muted speakers, the noise continues. As I write this, I am producing a storm of beeps and squawks that are probably alarming my neighbors!

According to a forum search, I may need to play with downloading a new driver to fix the problem, but I wanted to hear your suggestions before. Thank you, and I appreciate your help.

OK, just wanted to update this and preclude any posts: problem solved. Seems that a message at the start of restarting process said:

    Manufacturing Mode: Level [01] ****
Press Fn-X to return the system to normal running mode.

Would have helped it if stayed on the screen a bit longer, as I had to snap a pic of it fast. Once I pressed Fn-X, the fan stopped instantaneously, and the computer "ran normally". I still find this bizarre.
