The chances are that one of the fans is burning up at high RPM. It could be the video card, heatsink, case, or even the power supply fan in that order. Isn't the smell more of an electricity related smell?

The chances of you getting burned in MW3 is discounted

The PC should not have burned electric smell and depending on the source, it could cause your PC to stop working. Either find the source, or if it is under warranty, call tech support...

It does not matter if you can located the source, even if you could there is probably nothing you could do to remedy the situation. I do laptop support for HP and believe me HP takes these kinds of calls seriously. Since you are under warranty you need to shut down the laptop and contact Dell support. If Dell is like HP they will make it right.

Let get real. Their is no way we can smell your computer. If it's under warranty use the warranty. The only other way is to open up the computer and look. Then your warranty is not going to be good any more.

Brand new desktop + burning smell when under full power.

Some power supplies take a week or so to literally 'burn in'

If you are still getting the burning smell after a few weeks get desktop checked out

Is psu set to correct electric supply for your country?
Is PSU fan turning ok and speeding up when gaming?

AND BACK UP ALL IMPORTANT STUFF by the hour!
    Just in case
