On the left side of this page ( Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display ), there should be a 'calibrate color' button.

Else you should be able to get into the settings of your graph center.

its not that, it is bright for about 5 minutes, then it goes to normal. sometimes the screen has amind of it's own and goes bright after a while again.

That sounds like a problem with the PSU - power varies. I would get that checked before the screen gets damaged.

it is bright for about 5 minutes, then it goes to normal. sometimes the screen has amind of it's own and goes bright after a while again.
    and then we have:
it only does it when i log on, after like 5 minutes it goes away and never comes back
Is this a new laptop? Has it been submerged in water/urine? Have you made any changes recently? Installed anything software or hardware-wise?

it has not been wet, it either goes to school with me or sits in my room.

would having the nvidia graphics software and the intel graphic software for both video cards active at the same time be doing this?

What are each of these pieces of software doing, exactly?

And why am I getting from your specs that you have a laptop, yet you say you have two video cards? I hate being confused.
