You need to fill in your System Specs completely. We can't help if we know nothing about your PC, especially the CPU.

    check the image,
and this is not a virtual problem, it says 3.96 GB usable but it really is limited to 3.96 .
my motherboard bios configurations have no such a thing called shared video memory or any other same meaning option. i checked everywhere, and when i google or ask about it there is no much threads telling how to do it on my bios configurations.
so sorry for late answer i wasn't using my pc. please help ^

Ok, the full 8GB is definitely recognized as present.

4GB could be reserved for shared video, possible to set it in bios? May need some detective work on your side, see [Solved] 6GB of "Hardware Reserved" memory? - Memory - Motherboards-Memory for some hints, also take a look at Windows 7 Forums the biggest Windows 7 help and support forum, friendly help and many Windows 7 tutorials that will help you get the most out of Microsofts new Windows 7 Operating System. - Search Results for hardware reserved 64bit

Hopefully someone here with ASRock 970 experience may have the solution.

thanks alot, it is now 8GB all available, by changeing slots of the ram from 2 blues to 2 whites. but i read that some ppl had problems later when it is solved like this, then they find the limit again. hoping that would not happen with me

    thanks again.
