Asus G50vt-x5 help please..

    Asus G50vt-x5 help please..


    Hey, I just upgraded my laptop from vista to windows 7 ultimate.. and I am having a few problems that maybe some of you could help me with? =3...
    Well first off it doesnt recognize my flash drive.. It shows up in the "Device Manager" but it doesnt in "My Computer".. Could I be missing a driver or something?... Also It wont read disks in "My Computer" Either?.. Like wtf I thought this was supposed to be better than Vista.. but so far it just a **** load of problems... hopefully someone could help me.. or point me in the direction of someone who can.. thanks

    There are a lot of tips that may help with your issues. If not, feel free to post again.

    You probably need to update your drivers. Look for chipset drivers first.

    Provide your specs and we might be able to find the drivers for you.

    I am trying.. but I bought a laptop and I am not too sure what to put where, lol :P

    Its a start. let me go look for the bios driver for you brb

    asus drivers can be obtained here http://support.asus.com/download/dow...Language=en-us

    good luck

    EDIT: you should ge the BIOS driver, DVD driver, and any other driver if something else doesn't work.

    If you need a program to help you fill in your specs, either use the one in accessories/system tools or install the one from my signature.

    I downloaded the BIOS driver but how do i install it? its saved to my desktop as "G50Vas.213".. Im not sure what program to use to open it :P aslo I cant seem to find the DVD driver =\ I downloaded Driver Genius but it is not detecting anything neither are any other software programs that I downloaded.. Do I have to revert my whole drive down to vista again or something?...
