Without trawling back Morzie you didn't by any chance flash that BIOS before it went belly up?

Personally mate I steer clear of that brand as the ones we have at work are forever grinding to a halt. All the same mate I do feel for you nothing worse than this eh?

Took it to the experts, first thing he did was reseat the RAM 'poof' it works, before you rage at me, I did reseat the RAM multiple times with out the magic effectiveness the he had so... Computers continue to baffle me, and thank to everyone who had an input into this, big or small

Hey Morzie no one is going to rage mate you are not the first and will never be the last well that is until the Sun swallows the Earth in it's death throws LOL!

It's fixed mate and a learning curve for all of us. There are tons of simple fixes that most of us overlook them expecting some catastrophic foul up:)

Hey Morzie I'm glad to hear it was s simple fix!

There was a fairly long thread I was in about a laptop that would not POST, it started to and shut down. Finally I asked if the battery charger was plugged in. No it wasn't. Battery dead as a door nail.

Those SODIMM sockets can be fiddly to put memory in too at times.
