Thanks for that. I did see that thread last night. Unfortunately my hard drive is enabled and windows still won't see the bugger.
Just trying to confirm that all approaches have been tried.

In Disk Management did you go to Action and Rescan Disks?

No yellow triangles or down arrows in Device Manager?

Yup I have tried rescanning the disks. In the device manager the drive shows up fine. Windows sees it, but it won't see it at all in Disk Management.

I just spent the past 30 minutes installing windows onto another drive to see if maybe it was the initial drive that was giving it fits. It's not. I'm having the same exact problem.

Okay, so I picked up a sata to ide adapter. With that it doesn't even show up at all. But I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. I've never used SATA before. I enable the SATA setting in BIOS and it checks for devices now, but it's not showing the hd.

Okay I am going insane here. I just grabbed my brother in law's IDE enclosure. Plugged the Hard drive into it. Booted windows. I think plugged it in. Windows then recognized it, added the driver. I then go into Disk Management and ITS STILL NOT there.

This is nuts. I'm absolutely stumped.
